Buying glutenfree items

Glutenfree bread, cookies, pasta, pizza etc. can either be found in big supermarkets of these supermarket chains:

• Edeka
• Famila
• Globus/Maxus
• Kaufland
• REAL
• REWE
• or in shops called Reformhaus or Neuform shop (health food store).

However, each shop (supermarket or health food store) provides a different variety of products depending on the size and the location of the shop.

You also have to be very careful when you buy “glutenfree” bread made in some ordinary bakeries. There is no guarantee for a glutenfree standard.

Some of these producers also produce food containing gluten, so look out for the word “glutenfrei” or the glutenfree-symbol!
